The apostle John wrote about a vision He had in which worship was taking place in heaven. Angels and regenerated humans were singing antiphonally before the throne of God. The angels were singing of God’s holiness while the people sang “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Everything that takes place from creation until the time that vision becomes reality is building toward that scene. From creation to the eternal state God is demonstrating His worthiness to be worshipped eternally by both men and angels. To be properly understood the Bible must be interpreted in that light.
